Peeled chestnuts
Galician Chestnuts come from chestnut trees grown under particularly favourable soil conditions, with a low pH and moderate active limestone, rich in organic materials. The manual harvesting of the chestnuts within 48 hours of falling from the tree, combined with the selection, cleaning and calibration operations prior to freezing, guarantees their optimal preservation. Scherini marron chestnuts contain a reduced percentage of septate and a high starch content, for a sweeter taste.

Preparation
In the microwave: place about 100g of frozen product in a microwave-safe container and cook for about 5 minutes at medium/high power.
In a traditional oven: place the desired amount of frozen chestnuts in a baking dish, and bake in a preheated oven at 200° C for about 30 minutes. Once ready, allow the chestnuts to rest for a few minutes to avoid burns.
Boiled: pour the frozen chestnuts into a pan, cover them with water, bring to a boil, and then cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
