Spinach

Popeye’s favourite vegetable has propagated the belief that spinach is rich in iron: this is only partially true, since there are vegetables that contain greater amounts (lentils, for example). What's more, the body struggles to assimilate it. However, this doesn’t take away from the fact that, in addition to its strong and decisive flavour, spinach also has important nutritional properties: it has a purifying, laxative, and antioxidant effect, and is even good for the eyes.
